Now celebrating its 20th year producing ‘word+image’ art and still setting industry standards for emotionally literate communication. Its international distribution channels include prestigious museum stores, bookstores, department stores, boutiques and e-tailers.

Over the past 2 decades, KOCO has received national press in major newspapers, magazines and cable tv, including a segment on CNN Style with Elsa Klensch. It is also proud to have been featured regularly in the UNICEF catalogue.

It was a conscious business decision of Koco Founder Janeen Koconis to explore the online world and to see if she could take her business there. With Koco being a very much offline, organic and hand made brand it was a great challenge and one Bing Productions embraced.

Koco NY’s online objectives

  • To have a website that looks and feels the same as the offline handmade material.
  • Engage with viewers and to tell the Koco Story.
  • Develop sales mechanisms to convert offline purchases into online purchasable items.
  • Embrace the digital world.

How we helped

  • Development of a full flash website with deep linking xml. From here we built an intuitive user journey through the various area’s of Koco NY. Intro video where shot on location in paris (there are 6 unique openings to the site)
  • There are two mini sites linked to the main Kooc flash site. The first is a Koco Blog to allow the writer element of Koco NY to speak to the world. The other is an ecard subscription site. We converted all of Koco’s offline products into digital, deliverable e-products so that customers of Koco NY can spread the word online and importantly create a revenue stream from ecard subscriptions.
  • We have developed an online marketing strategy, harnessing the power of social in order to connect with customers who span back 20 years. Social will allow Koco to  engage with new customers and speak to them on their level.
